Matot-Massei

1. Lashon Harah – negative speech leads to increased strife among people and we are NOT permitted “fuel” such devastating speeches and convince ourselves since “the two people already hate one another” I am safe in indulging since the damage is there already. It is forbidden to increase hatred and evil speech and its forbidden remind someone of an outstanding hatred he has towards others.

2. The Mouth – is the totality of the person, from which everything begins – good and bad; even creation started with speech. Speech is the most important part of humans and Israel is the mouth of the universe. Torah was given for the mouth to recite “And you shall speak it day and night” to rectify the mouth.

3. Vows – the parasha starts with “should a person make a vow” affirming that what a person says with his mouth, he must do! In parashat Pinchas we stated that he rectified the blemish of Zimri and Cosbi that translate into “lie”. G-d loves those who speak truth in their hearts and those keep what they utter in their heart. Surely those who utter promises with their mouth must carry them out. A person must do what he meant and certainly what he uttered! Refrain from making promises to lend money, to help, to visit the sick, or and any other positive commandment since people hang up on your promises and expect you to keep your word.

4. ASHaN – acronyms of World-Year-Soul only when we have these 3 elements do we go from the potential to the actual. World (place), Year (time) and Soul (speech) as it’s written: “my soul came out as he was speaking” G-d gives every newborn a set amount of words to to speak – the more the person speaks, the faster he comes to the end of his allotted speech and end of life. This allotment does not include Torah learning that is “your life and years of live”. Speech is a currency that if all spent will simply shortens one’s life! If a person merely contemplated to steal but did not – it’s not a sin. But if he enunciates his intentions to sin with his mouth – the sin will be committed at any moment.

5. The Sfira Yessod - Commandments are not vows because we are obligated to perform them. Pinchas killed the two sinners and G-d gave him a peace covenant as in the name of G-d’s Shalom. One is prohibited from saying Shalom in filthy places. The Vav in Shalom (Pinchas) is broker to signify lack or peace from lack of Godliness.

6. Adam’s sin was in the Sfira “YESOD” foundation, the 6^th sfira of Z”A. The sin of the Egel (golden calf) happened when Moshe was “Boshesh” late in returning from the mountain for SIX hours. The number six is associated with falsehood that intensifies on Fridays. You must be brave to enter the kitchen on Friday while your spouse is cooking.

7. Until Kiddush time the nerves are boiling just like the boiling relations between nations and pressure from the boiling nuclear threat. Add to that boiling pressure of interpersonal relations, work, finances, health, obligations, global warming and the threat of continents sinking under water. The world is in global tension; the scientists have more credibility than the prophets.

8. The world was destroyed 3 times: flood, Sodom and Gomorah and the generation of Egypt. First time destroyed by water (flood), second time by fire (Sodom), third time by dirt (Egypt) and fourth time it will be destroyed by air (huge explosion)

9. It’s better not vow than vow and not keep – There are vows of positive and negative commandments vows not to drink wine or eat meat. To annul a vow requires a ceremony of “Hatarat Nedarim” of annulment of the vows. If a person promises to do certain things he cannot renege. Even if a wife says to her husband “I will not cook no more” she must annul her vow. The husband has the power to annul his wife’s vows by immediately say 3 times “Hufar Lach”, 3 time “Mutar Lach”, and 3 times “Machul Lach” annulled (3) permissible (3), forgiven (3).

10. Always say “Bli Neder” – without promise – Lest G-d will take your wife rendering you widower. Yaacov promised G-d to give tithe (10%) and suffered greatly for not acting on his promises in a timely fashion. One who makes promises and does not keep – he is a sinner. Promises not kept will cause a person to loose his spouse. You must keep what comes out of your mouth. A vow is a vow when related to commandments. A person who vows not to do certain things is making a vow (not for everything a person must say “bli neder”).

11. Prayers – What’s the difference between someone who just says and someone who makes a vow? Before the day of atonement we annul the vows. A person’s prayers are not accepted if he has outstanding vows. God summons an angel to the person who makes vows to safeguard him while the vow is fulfilled; thereafter, the vow must be done or else he is in peril from the angel who was lied to.

12. G-d is upset when a person promises and does not keep. Our strengths are only in our mouths “what distinguishes us from animals”? our speech! A person who lies or doe’s not keep his word is like an animal. A truthful person charges a price what he had in mind, not what he can squeeze from the buyers. The justice system in Israel is crumbling from overload of cases of people who are not paying their debt because of legal maneuvering. This will change when we recite the 18 blessings during the silent prayers asking G-d to return our judges of old” to do justice. Our entire justice system is corrupt and it mocks people who speak the truth as it says, “truth vanished and righteousness negated”. Truthful people are considered “square” – it is preferable to be stupid in the eyes of men than in the eyes of G-d. Whatever you promise to G-d and whatever is committed for Torah you must keep

13. Sanctity of the Mouth – when a person that sanctifies his mouth below, they sanctify his mouth above; and when he asks G-d something, G-d does it. Rabbi Yehoshua ben Levi went to the entrance of the Garden of Eden in the dessert and when stopped by the angel of death, he took his sword and entered in; and swore that he will never leave. The angel complained to G-d who checked in his book to see if Rabbi Yohosua ever swore once falsely and it could not be found. G-d informed the angel that such a man’s vow will be upheld and he is permitted to stay even as he returned the sword.

14. If you keep your mouth clean and always keep your promises and say little; G-d will listen when you speak and will fulfill your request. Like a child who was always good and asks nothing; when one day he does, we are too happy to do. If you do G-d’s will, he will do yours; and if you ask to heal someone, G-d will grant your request. This is why the Babba Sali (Gate of Prayer) was able to heal and help people.

15. Those who Bless – come from the side of holiness and resemble G-d who constantly wants to impart blessing to the world and mankind. G-d makes such a person a conduit of blessing and affluence from Him. This man can never lie, be harsh, strict or curse and he will receive “Brit Shalom” covenant of peace like Pinchas. Those who constantly curse are from the side of impurity and defilement.

16. Words are Arrows that can Kill – measure your words carefully, they are like arrows that cannot be retrieved. Words can stab like daggers. Negative words are poisonous arrows that can turn good people into vicious beasts that kill and harm. People become criminals because they were exposed in their childhood to parents who cursed, got angry, lied and transferred this negative energy the kids who will grow up to become cruel a violent.

17. Even the inanimate objects hear “a stone from a wall shouts” and we affect them and in turn influence us accordingly. We have to be careful with our prayers to pronounce each word carefully since angels carry them above to the Thrown.

18. Midian – G-d is instructing Moshe to revenge the Midyanites while Moshe is still alive. Moav caused Israel to sin and yet we fight Midian, kill and destroy them and their cities while sparing Moav that tempted us with their women. After the fight Moshe can die; and all this because they intervened in a dispute that was not theirs (Rashi).

19. According to Sod, Midian are judgments – harsh situations, incomprehensible, cause depression, feeling of financial disaster, confusion, darkness, Katnut – very difficult time that causes a person to be angry, uptight, impatient. Moshe had bad midot (character) to the point that he killed a man. This is why he married Tzipporah to overcome the judgments and sever them and came out a winner.

20. There is positive and negative in judgment (Din) which nothing but a “test” that when one is such mode of Din, he must relax! Take it easy! Hurry up and wait patiently. Such a person is surrounded with harsh lights that he cannot control.

21. Rabbi Akivah and friend traveled the high seas and the ship sunk. The friend was saved but could not see what happened to Rabbi Akivah, he thought for sure he went down with the ship. But Rabbi Akivah appeared suddenly and told how he was saved – by bowing his head down to each and every wave until he was washed ashore. Waves are Dinim or judgments. If a person dreams of high seas and waves it means harsh Din present “all your broken waves past over me” The Sod of harsh judgment that come from the ocean or Malchut (the lowest sfira kingship). Yam or Ocean is full of Din from Elohim (Mi Eleh) because water is much stronger than dirt, wind and fire; it has the most strength.

22. Sweeten the Din – Rabbi Akiva turned around after he saw a boulder being pierced with mere drops of water – the secret of judgment. When you experience judgment – be quite, mute and freeze; and be like Aharon who became speechless in the face of Din when his 2 children burned (Nadav and Avihu – DiN). Aharon was the chief sweetener of Din for Am Israel. When a person silences himself, the Din passes out because it is timed out and becomes sweetened.

23. Moshe Sweetens Din – Winds of war; we being scared by scientist of impeding disaster from above the asteroids, from below the earthquakes, from the ocean huge waves, from the air nuclear blast. These are times of harsh dinim. G-d is instructing Moshe to sweeten the Dinim for Am Israel before Moshe dies – how? By conquering Midian (Elat) and kill all males and elligible females and leave only very young females. Moshe orders Pinchas to take 1000 troops from each tribe to destroy the seat of Dinim Elat (hot, fire).

24. Kill all the males that are inclined to aggressiveness to remove the Din and to enter the Land free of Dinim to experience a taste of the next world to come (the female brings out the male aggressiveness). The rest of the booty was many metals and animals representing the other impurities (klipot) that by right they should have destroyed too (like Yehoshua did in Jerico). It is for the same reason we are instructed to destroy the 7 nations in the land to remove the Dinim.

25. Dina Dekedusha – Din of holiness that is sometimes present in Din and is very useful. Yaacov told G-d after you bring be back safely to Israel, YHVH (mercy) will be my Elohim (Din) so us to be under the influence of Din that will allow Yaacov to reach higher levels. Sometimes we ask G-d to be strict with us so as to elevate us; cleansing us of sin thru din and elevate upward to mighty spiritual heights. This will causes the person to distance himself from sin, to pray each word with meaning. This is the highest level of spirituality. The Romans combed Rabbi Akiva’s skin with iron combs; he could have killed his oppressors but choose to die with Din of Holiness (Kedusha) like the other 9 martyrs who died in honor of G-d. This is why Yaacov shielded Dina from Esav so as not to cause him to repent and displace Am Israel from being in the forefront of worshiping G-d.

26. Reb Nachman says – If a person cries a lot, it is because he is sweetening the Din for lies he uttered rectifying the eyes that lie. The Zohar says tears also provoke mercy. If a person silence himself, G-d pins a whole world on that silence and can save the world and Am Israel from annihilation like Rachel who saved Am Israel for being silent. If a person suppresses his insults and does not react, G-d forgives his sins by counting that voluntary pain towards his existing sins. Voluntary pain counts for thousands of involuntary pains.

27. Shalom Bait – A person who suffers indignity is being tested by G-d to go to a higher level if he stays calm and silence. To keep shalom bayit, spouse who hear insults must not react! And this will cause them to rise up higher and higher.

28. Tzilah Dehimnutah – Clouds of faith, the Succa resembles the clouds of glory that protected us in the 40 years in the dessert and has the same properties. The clouds of faith of believers who trusted G-d.

29. The End of the World – The world is about to be destroyed but Israel will be spared; the Goyim will ask G-d why did you spare them? And G-d will answer: only those who did the commandments will merit to be spared and go on to the next world; the rest will not. They will ask G-d to give them commandments to do and G-d will test them with one commandment to dwell in the Succa. So they go and build it during Succot the time of Armageddon (nuclear blast).

30. The nations of the world will witness how the nuclear blasts do not harm the Jews (39 scuds missiles and 4,000 Hizbolah missiles did not harm us) this would cause them to want to live in the Succa and perform just one commandment. Then G-d will expose the Sun “Motzi Hama Minartikah” to cause temperatures to rise and the Goyim to kick out the Succa, failing to keep the Mitzva and lose the world to come.

31. Eliyahu will come and announce the coming of the great and awful Day of Judgment followed by a very hot day. We are in such era of revelation of Moshiach on small case and he is protecting us from various harm including military and economic regardless of is in the political power. It’s the spiritual powers of Moshiach that protect us.

32. Massei – division of the land by lottery and the demarcation of the borders. From the Lebanon, in the south Egypt to Elat, up to include Jordan (but not Amon), but not Saudi Arabia (Moab), and not Edom or Amon since 2 great females Ruth (Moabite from witch David came) and Naama (Amonite from which came Rechavam, Assa, Hizkiya, Yeshayiah and others. Amon and Moav had in them sparks of holiness and were spared. Syria also belongs to us to the top of the mountain. In addition, any place we step our feet in becomes ours.

33. The daughters of Lot – sustained the world by propagating with their father to populate earth so that G-d can continue to be King on earth. For these positive thoughts they were rewarded to have offsprings with spirituals powers from which Moshiach, Kings and Prophets came out. G-d has shown us many miracles and will continue to show us many more miracles.

Pinchas

1. Lashon Harah (evil speech) – the press already bashes the presumed innocent way before he is proven guilty. We are not permitted to hear accusations until proven in a court of law. Are we to keep distance from accused people by the press and are we even allowed to hear those accusations? We must differentiate between hearsay and assassination of character and we must be mindful of the suffering of the family who did nothing wrong; and should the accused’s job be affected? It is the person’s enemies who spread lashon harah – don’t listen.
2. Even after a court trial, we must ask if the accused was charged justifiably? The halacha says the rumors of wrongdoing must continue for over 1.5 days with intensity for us to engage in the conversations; but if after 1.5 days the rumors stop – we are not permitted to continue the discussions. If the rumors persist for a period of time, one is permitted to cast doubt on the accused and we may voice an opinion that disqualified him for the office he tarnished.
3. For example a Cohen that married a divorcee, his kids are considered “Hallallim” devoid of the priestly holiness and cannot have a first Aliah or do the priestly blessings. Same for someone accused of being a “Mamzer” bastard; the product of forbidden relationship such as a child has no rectification; cannot marry a Jew.
4. Truth and Falsehood – The Zohar says this world is mostly of falsehood “Alma D’Shikra” the world of lies that is fleeting. People lie to one another and to themselves for selfish petty gains; even to the point of changing external appearance, color the hair, do plastic surgery, lie about age and qualifications, hide defects from potential spouse, lie about income and live above their means. Falsehood has only one leg and it’s like someone standing on only one leg; he will get tired quickly. Truth is lasting forever; G-d, Torah and creation are called eternal truth. We sidestep the truth because it’s difficult to face up to it and it’s hard struggle to uphold the truth. But in the final analysis we all want the truth because it sustains the world. Truth is eternal life; lies are death and falsehood. Many giants of the Jewish people struggled to bring forth the truth to mankind.
5. The Dessert – The secret existence of Israel in the dessert is to know the words of G-d, the truth; dessert means, “to speak”. Israel heard G-d speak in the dessert, the place of G-d’s speaking truth. In the dessert, G-d spoke and it so it came to be – all His words came true (unlike the words of humans that may or may not come true). The next world is the world of truth; but this world is of lies and truth – it’s up to us to choose the truth according to Torah.
6. We are here to be tested it we love G-d and to make choices of good over evil. If you do everything truthfully, G-d will reveal Himself to you and give you prophecy and you will be connected to the world of truth. Only someone who experience G-d can know the truth; experienced G-d as stated in Nitzavim “All of you who are here; those are present and those who are not” and all of you are alive today and your eyes see and your ears hear that which is eternal. Our truths and convictions come from G-d; people who do not refer to G-d will not be able to uphold the truth at the moment of truth (when the test comes).
7. In the dessert Israel discovered the truth, and even a maiden slave saw more than the prophet “Ben Boozi”. This generation of the dessert known as “Dor De’ah” great knowledge of G-d albeit for only 40 years but it dissipated after entering the land. Subsequently, G-d sent an angel before us to the point today where there is little left if any of the holly spirit. When we do his will, G-d draws us ever closer to him. But the more we sin, the more we become distant from G-d (iron curtain). When we become worthy, G-d will send the Messiah to draw us ever closer to Him. But G-d still watches over us even as we stray from him but He distanced himself from us for our own good. The good person is always close to G-d; but the bad is distanced from Him and both know it when it happens.
8. Korach also wanted to achieve the purpose of creation – the truth! He asked Moshe on a Blue (Techelet) prayer shawl (Tachlit). The blue color signifies the heavens, the purpose, and the truth. We cannot stand up to the truth; if G-d revealed Himself and His truth to us, we would not be able exist and we would evaporate. Truth is such a difficult thing to face up to that even if we only had a minimal truth, G-d would make his appearance to us. Look at our leaders and our justice system that is unable to uphold the truth. We don’t know how to live with the truth! Only by following Torah and mitzvot, de we experience truth. When we live outside torah and mitzvot, we live in falsehood. One cannot reach the ultimate truth without G-d’s Torah that is G-d’s name. Only 100% truth is truth!
9. Zimri the redeemer – had the spark of Messiah and the spark of Shimeon that at the age of 13 he went to rescue his sister Dina from Shechem Ben Chamor telling her to sever her forbidden relationship with a Goy and return home, but she refused and he promised to marry her. She embodied judgment. Moshe set out to rectify judgment by going to Ethiopia, becoming King and not touch the Queen (put a sword between him and her) and by marrying Tzipporah the Midianite (of judgment) who had was spiritually the most difficult type of judgement (Kushite) and succeeded in sweetening the judgment.
10. Shimeon also was harsh judgment “Dina Kashia” and he and Levy went to rectify the harsh judgment of the world. Since then many people in the history of mankind who see evil, despair over it and want to rectify it! Everyone “sings” the same tune of a desire to change the world for the better (Zimri – to sing). To be all united, good, just, equitable, healthy, fairness to all, etc., But most of us are doing this over coffee and ice cream at the side pool while ignoring our next-door neighbor who is starving, sick and penny less. Talk is cheap! But, the real Mashiach who knows the truth is going out to fight for the truth to the death because truth “EMET” is made of either “Aleph” (number 1) or “MET” (death) – no in between. 11. Zimri saw how G-d is with Moshe and inquired what will it take to be like Moshe, so he went and took Cozbi (falsehood) forcing a test on himslf to emulate Moshe and reach Moshe’s greatness of communication with G-d. Zimri took the harshest judgement in the form of the daugther of Tzur (divine) “Nukbah” female. To redeem Am Israel by standing up to falsehood (Cosbi) but failed; it takes tremendous powers to overcome the enormous forces of evil that very few can cope with. In every generation, G-d points to a potential Mashiach that He test for the task; but the person always fails.
12. Saviors Come and Go – Many people have this notion to redeem the world and even try fasting, learning, live a special life; but in the end they fail. Droyani 500 years ago set up to slaughter the evil that is inside all of us. G-d tested him by telling him not to feed Mr. Evil until he is slaughtered. Just before killing him, evil asked for food and was given some perfume to smell, which was enough for Evil to swallow this righteous Kabbalah causing him to convert to Christianity.
13. King David asked G-d to test him and replied you will surely fail; yet David took the challenge and failed with Bat-Sheva (Sanhedrin). You want to save the world and be Mashiach – stop daydreaming and be prepared to be put to a test. No one today has the power to pass this test that is pre-requisite to becoming Mashiach.
14. To Reveal you must Hide – Kissuyo Hu Giluyo – if you want to reveal the truth, you must hide it. To reveal something, you must hide it dress or cloth it. To reveal a tree, we hid a seed in the ground. By doing mitzvot we form Chaluka De’Rabanan. ZahariEl is doing Mitzvot reveals the name of G-d. When we perform Mitzvot, we dress or cloth G-d therby revealing him. A king on earth reveals himself only after is dressed. The mitzvot are the dresses “Levushim” by which G-d is revealed. The Lubbavicher Rebbe used to say G-d’s garment is all but ready ready except for one last button to be sawed on.
15. Rabbi Ovadia Yossef – said that if all Am Israel recite the :Shema”, G-d will reveal himself to us. Mashiach revealed himself to the Rabbi in the Kotel and said if ONE million children recite the Shema, he will come to redeem Am Israel.
16. Pinchas – What is the secret of Zimri Ben Salu (head of Shimeon Tribe) that sinned with Cozbi Bat Tzur (Princess) on the advice of Bilam to Balak in last parasha? The 2 come in front of Moshe who was crying with Aharon; Zimry asked Moshe who permitted you to marry Tzipporah the Midyanite? Zimri was mistaken in his criticism of Moshe since he married Tzipporah before the giving of the torah; yet Moshe may have converted Tziporah. But now, after the giving of Torah, we are not permitted to marry non-Jews and cannot mix with them because of our special bond with G-d. Hence the plague that killed 24,000 Israelite that was halted when Pinchas killed Zimri and Cosbi with a spear. G-d tells Moshe Zimri will be forever a priest that he was not annoited before. The emphasis in this parasha is on the prohibition of marrying a non-Jew by a Jew.
17. The Mouth – Pinchas is the secret of “Mouth of the Snake” (Pi Nachash) and if you take out the Nun from PiNchas what’s left is PESACH; the secret of Eliyahu who is destined to herald the coming of the Mashiach (Hamevasser) on Passover. The mouth of G-d that rectified Israel in the dessert (by speaking truth) will send another mouth at the time the final generation and reveal the Mashiach. Pinchas is Eliyahu, and is Nadav and Avihu. Pinchas (Eliyahu) will rectify “our” mouth.
18. Rectifying the mouth – before doing anything, we must rectify the mouth by speaking truth; heart and mouth must be equal. Think truth and you will reach this level of rectifying the mouth. Pinchas stood up and told Am Israel you must be the people of truth and for that G-d made him a covenant of eternal truth. The Vav of “Brity Shalom” in the Torah is broken because Yaacov and Eliyah both lost the Vav from their names – it’s hiding in Essav’s ankle.
19. Rabbi Kaddori – Mashiach is ready to be revealed and is only missing the Vav. In the end of times we will recapture the Vav from Essav and give it to Eliyah and Yaacov to make them Eliyahu and Yaacov with Vav. This will happen in the 6000 millennium on the 600^th year, the 60^th decade, the 6^th month, the 6^th hour, the 6^th minute. The secret of the Vav is the sword beheads the Nachash (snake, evil).
20. How to Bless –Moshe is told to go to the top of the mountain to see the land but may not enter it. Moshe request that Am Israel shall have a leader (Moshe’s son) but G-d informs him Yehoshua will be the next leader who was not particularly great. G-d instructs Moshe to transfer to Yehoshua “some” of his splendor; but Moshe transfer everything to Yehoshua by placing both hands on Yehoshua’s head to empty himself into Yehoshua. A true blessing is given when a person pour himself into the one being blessed, giving him all his spiritual powers. This is what Moshe did. When he saw Yehoshua and G-d speaking, Moses took Yehoshua aside and asks him what did G-d tell you? To which yehoshua replied “I never asked you what G-d said to you”; at that moment Moshe raised his eyes to the heavens and said “I shall die 100 times, but I will never envy Yehoshua”; this is after Moshe gave Yehoshua everything to enable him to pass Am Israel across the Jordan River to the promised land. In Mashiach time the light of the moon (Yehoshua) will shine like the Sun; and the light of the Sun’s light will shine seven fold.

Balak

1. Bene Israel Seeking Passage – The Israelites are on the East river bank of the Jordan and must cross via Edom near Elat, next to Sichon the Emorite king, next to Moab, and next to Og King of Bashan near Syria. The King of Edom declines passage and G-d said go around Edom. The King of Sichon the Emorite confronts Israel in Battle and loses. The Israelites settle his land and go to fight the King of Bashan and defeat him. Moav resides between Edom and Bashan inside Jordan.
2. Two types of wars: The first one is mitzvah war to go against the nations inside Israel and all must participate against the 7 nations. The second type is by our choice to defend ourselves against outside intruders and only Tzadikim can participate. At the moment, Israel had no excuse to attack the nations inside the Jordan River.
3. Why is the Torah concerned about Moab who is afraid of Israel? The King of Moab realizes that he must fight a spiritual battle not a physical one to defeat the Jews on his border. He wants to know Israel spiritual weakness and sends for the King of Midian to join him. He also sends for Bilam who was strong with his mouth in order to defeat the powerful mouth of Moshe. Bilam knew the exact timing when to bless and curse; why would G-d approve this wicked man’s curses? He had a reputation to destroy nations just with his curses without wars. He had a very bad EVIL EYE that he used for AYIN HARAH or Evil Eye.
4. Bilam tells the angels Balak sent him to stay over while he will ask G-d permission to curse Israel and had no shame doing that (Chutzpa). G-d ask bilam who are the people with you? And Bilam replied messengers from Balak who want me to curse Israel. G-d commanded Bilam not curse Israel because they are blessed. Bilam tells the messengers to go, but the next day they ask again and Bilam promises to give them an answer again tomorrow. Again he declines Bilam request to curse Israel but Bilam does not give up and asks again. This time G-d said go with them but do what I say. He wakes up early (like Avraham Avinu) and prepares his donkey himself to do some cursing. The angel of G-d gets upset and standing on the road blocking Bilam preventing the donkey from passing. The donkey squeezed Bialm’s leg after being hit 3 times and finally laid down. G-d open the donkey’s mouth who complained about being hit to which Bilam replied if I had sword, I would have killed you.
5. One’s Thoughts Revealed – The King of Moav comes to Bilam and complains about Bilam not cursing to which Bilam answer I can only do what G-d put in my mouth; and no money in the world can make a difference. From this we learn when a person says “I do not want this and that, he means the opposite” our thoughts are revealed by our mouths even as our mouth says the opposite of what we think. Bilam says “If Balak will give me a house full of silver and gold, I will not go against G-d’s word” but this statement reveals Bilam true intention wanting a house full of gold and silver and to disobey G-d. Politicians who say what they will do merely reveal they want to be in power.
6. Bilam was one of three advisors to Pharaoh, Itro escaped, Iyov was silence, and Bilam recommended to destroy Bene Yisrael. Balak takes Bilam to a place from which he can give them Ayin Harah (evil eye)
7. Sorcery and Black Magic – Today the Palestinians use sorcery against our people to give Ayin Harah and harm us with defiles spiritual forces; they are our opposites; we are connected to the good forces of holiness. Israel preys to bless mankind, they pray to destroy others (good vs. evil). The Moslems use sorcery to entice Jewish women to join their ranks; there are ten of thousands like that. Some of their elderly seclude themselves for 40 days and repeat mantras to summon evil forces that they use against us. This is why it is dangerous for our leaders to be with them – they jinx and put the spell on them to act contrary to our interest. They mix in their food magical items to cause them to give up territories, free funds, provide them with weapons, supply them with water and electric and release prisoners all for empty promises. They shoot at us without anyone stopping them; they cause us to be spiritually weak and impotent.
8. Bilam wants to put a spell on all Am Israel along with Balak who is the magician while Bilam was the best with his mouth. Bilam’s mouth against Moshe’s powers of prayer and Balak against Am Israel’s mitzvot. These 2 evil forces are still in effect till on Am Israel. But these forces are ineffective against those of us who are holy and pure. Prayer, mitzvot, Tehillim, guarding the tongue, being shomer Shabbat and doing acts of kindness are a shield against the evil forces. Angels protect such a person from any harm.
9. The End of Times – This is why G’d tell Bilam: do not curse this nation since it is blessed. Bliam instructs Balak to build 7 altars sacrifice 7 animals on each in honor of G-d. And G-d tells Bilam to say the best possible blessings for Am Israel better than Moses’ blessings (that were also admonitions); and Bilam reveals the events of the end of times. Bilam wishes to have similar faith as the Jews; because he sees that Israel will defeat all the nations at time of Mashiach time that come against Israel. Balak is not happy for the blessings of Israel that were enormous that even Yitzchak did not give to Yaacov. Why would Bilam do that? Where does he get such blessing powers?
10. These blessings could not be coming forth from a Tzaddick since too many heavenly prosecutors were against that. Even Jacob had to disguise himself in order to receive the blessings from his father – since these are for eternity; and it’s impossible to bring those blessing from the physical world that has prosecuting forces preventing this. This blessing must be gotten astutely like hiding diamonds with trash where no one will suspect that a diamond can be hidden there (Mi Yiten Tahor Mitameh). This is why G-d took out the blessing for Israel via Bilam to circumvent the evil forces.
11. Pinchas – Finally Balak fires Bilam but not before giving advice by saying their G-d hates promiscuity and adultery; therefore bring women and with that you will win against them. They made a market place with many tents placing decently dressed older woman outside but a promiscuous woman inside that gave them wine and proceeding to sin with them. The prices for merchandise inside the tent were cheaper. 24,000 people died in the plague because of the adulterous acts.
12. Zimri ben Salu was the president of the tribe of Shimeon and he came to Moses with the daughter of Balak (Cosbi) and asked if he can sleep with her; and added to Moshe, if you say no – then who permitted you to marry a Midianite (Tziporah)? Cosbi came to sin with Moses but Zimri grabbed her and came to Moses to challenge him; Moses who was crying along with Ahron and Pinchas for the sins and ensuing plague of Bene Israel. Moses did not know what to do; but Pinchas reminded him the Halacha of one he sleeps with an Aramit, Kanaim kill him. Pinchas killed both of them with a spear. Nadav and avihu died and never married and therefore incomplete. King Hizkiyahu also was about to lose this world and next world until Yeshayia the prophet convinced him that he must get married. A Tzadik that had no children, his soul will be come into a living person on earth (Ibur) to guide the living person to accomplish what that soul did not do while on this earth. This is why sometimes we act strange or feel in a certain way – because of a soul that may have entered our body for it’s rectification.
13. Pinchas entered the tent of Zimri that was surrounded by the tribe telling everyone he wants to be part of the action. Once inside he killed both with the spear; he was able to do that because Nadva and Avihu (sons of Ahraon who were burned in the Mishkan) entered his body – their soul is also the soul of Eliyahu the prophet. For this act, Pinchas now Eliyahu received the covenant of peace from G-d that allows him to COME and go between the spiritual and physical worlds. The only one that can do that. Eliyahu reveals himself to any one who has good character (Midot) and is modest; it can be even a Gentile and even today.
14. The Power of Bilam – Bilam means one who swallows a nation; why can he curse? Why other people have that power even today? It’s forbidden to curse others only bless them. Why did Bilam have such power? It is written, “G-d is angry everyday” for just a moment! Bilam knew when that moment is and so many people today that curse others and cause them tremendous hardship. The moment to curse is at dawn when a rooster top crown turns from red to pink, to manifest the curse. A certain sage in the Gemarah wanted to kill a bad neighbor but fell asleep and gave up the idea. Rabbi Meir wanted to curse a bad neighbor but his wife Bruriah swayed him to use the same power to change the neighbor to become a good person. Bruriah added: because it is written “the sin should be abolished, not people” destroy sin not sinners who may repent. G-d does not wish the sinner to die; but to repent and live. If someone steals money from you, pray that he will have remorse and return your money. Turn an evil person around and it will benefit you.
15. Bilam’s power in his mouth because Am Israel’s power is in the mouth. Take the L&K of Balak and the Ayin Mem of Bilam and you get Amalek; what’s left from both names is BBL or Babel. In the end of times (now) the remnants of the people who were not destroyed in the great deluge (Mabul) will be coming back. There is an opinion in the Gemarah that says that a remnant of the Mabul survived in the land Israel; and their progenies are Balak and Bilam – they are forces of destruction that will be bring suffering on Israel – they are located in the land of the philistines Gaza (Zohar). Amalek’s mission is to cause Jews to weaken their resolve on their faith by injecting doubt.
16. The Secret of Blessing – what is the purpose of us blessing the foods we eat or bless anything? What does it do for G-d when we bless Him before and after eating? Anyone who does not make blessings on foods is called a thief and a destroyer; he robs his parents (G-d). When the physical world was created from the spiritual world by filtering the lights from the upper worlds,; G-d inserted sparks of holiness into the 4 elements (air, water, fire and dirt) that find themselves in our food chain. So, when we make blessings it could be that we even bless the souls of our parents or loved ones. This is why we have food at death anniversaries for a relative; he might need a rectification in the 4 elements: vegetation, animate, speaking and inanimate. With our blessings on the foods, the sparks in the food are elevated to the spiritual and is able to rise up to a higher level. Sometimes parents come in dreams and are angry at children showing them food items hinting to them: had you made a blessing on the these foods, my soul would have have been elevated – now my soul has to reincarnate. This happened to the Rabbi who got unusually hungry in one morning and had to find food urgently. In a dream he had, a huge gifelte fish from heaven came down and out of which a woman 800 years old came out of the fish screaming about putting hot sauce on the fish. The Rabbi eating of that Gifelte fish allowed the spark of the woman to be freed up and finish her rectification. This was a case of a spark entering the Rabbi to cause him to be hungry, seek food, eat the fish and free up the spark from it.
17. Since then the rabbi became cognizant of foods, inspect items before eating, do the blessings properly. Never miss reciting a blessing and always have in mind to elevate the sparks in the foods. It takes years to know how to properly make blessings on food to free up the sparks. G-d kisses the person who does the blessing right and is happy with him. At David’s time 100 people had died every day, so he instituted to recite 100 blessings a day to remove the plagues from Am Israel. The more a person blesses, the more he his soul, and it is simple to do, and one gets blessings from G-d in return (the one who blesses is also blessed).
18. This is an important parasha that reveals the birth of Mashiach and it has many more secrets revealed by the Ari and the Zohar.

Chukat

1. From last parasha to this parasha 38 years have elapsed in the dessert and the old generation that sinned in the spy case have died. Two important topics: The Parah Aduma (red heifer) and the incident of Moshe hitting the rock thereby forfeiting entering the land of Israel. It is difficult to understand RH because the ashes defile the one administering the ashes of the burned Parah Aduma and in the same time it purifies the defiles contaminated person. We will explain why G-d was so angry with Moshe and also how spiritual contamination works.
2. Lashon Harah or Evil Speech – First the people are complaining to Moshe for taking them to a place where there are no figs and pomegranates and also complain for lack of water and speak lashon harah against Moshe, G-d and the land. Parents are also forbidden to listen to lashon harah from their kids; siblings are also under the laws of lashon harah and one cannot speak evil of his family members, parents, and relatives or between spouses. lashon harah leads to strife, disagreements and separation. You must reprove spreaders of lashon harah but if your criticism is going to increase animosity, refrain from reprove. Ignore people who will NOT accept your warnings, stay away from them and do not take risk in reproving someone that will end up costing you your job or your money. The Chafetz Hayim composed a prayer to spare us from hearing, telling or accepting lashon harah, use it!
3. Tumah or Spiritual Defilement – how does one become contaminated and how does one become purified again; what are the methods of purification?
4. Our Torah is made of Mitzvot (logical commandments), Chukim (Illogical laws). Such laws must be observed based on faith; but can also be comprehended with Kabbalah to the initiated. Not everyone is fit to know the Kabbalistic reasons!
5. Humans are made of mater and spirit and not immune to Tumah, a goy does not transmit tumah at death. At night when the soul departs, the Tumah comes in since the light of the soul is gone and defiled spiritual forces can come in; the soul that is driving the body is absent. This results are contaminations from a body without soul that resembling a dead body.
6. In the morning we expel Tumah via the end points of the body, the 10 fingers when we wash our hands and make the blessings. The finger nails in the hands and feet allow for the Tumah to eject but keep the energy of the soul in. Do not touch anything before washing in the morning in order not to transmit to them Tumah – not even your cloths
7. You must put next to you water to wash immediately 3 times back and forth to remove the tumah force called Shilta from you. King Solomon instituted washing the hands; a person who enters the temple defiled is punished by death, there are many forms of tumah; but tumah of the dead is the worst and can only be removed with ashes of Parah Aduma (red heifer) or waters of the Nidah.
8. They burned a pure Parah Aduma that had 100% red hair, and only a pure man can take the ashes; but even if we had a perfect Parah Aduma no one is pure to make the ashes. The gemarah says it can be done if we have a new born placed in an island and only he can gather the ashes.
9. How did we get the first ashes? When the Israelites were in Sinai, the tumah stopped by a special light from G-d and we had pure undefiled people to gather the ashes.
10. The snake defiled Eve who passed the defilement to Kayin who became murderer. Adam’s numerical value is 45; but when a person dies he looses the TaL lights (39) less 45 (YKVK spelled with aleph) = 6. Adding 39 to the 6 to become 45 and be Adam again; the formula to resurrect the dead. The 39 lights enter the Luz bone that remains in the grave to make 39+6=45 or Adam by spreading to his bones and regrows the entire body. He rises up as he was but gets a perfect body
11. It is forbidden to mention names of Angels because they will come to us; because we are not pure they may harm us (pure meeting with impure). The angel comes by forcing him to appear to us by oath but only if we are pure.
12. The Ari used angels to get info on people for their rectification since the angels know our roots. R. H Vital asked the Ari how did he get the ashes to be pure? The Ari was secluded for 7 years until Elijah the prophet revealed to him where to find the ashes to purify himself.
13. We must know the angels to transport our prayers up and must know where they stand and how they operate? The students of the Ari brought down angels in the woods and silenced the lions by blinding them. The Ari was upset because they caused the angels to become impure and put them at risk to lose their ability to return to heaven thereby causing a blemish in the upper worlds. such offenders must fast 40 days. In Egypt, G-d himself had to come down because the tumah of the Egyptians was so great that it could harm angels
14. The Tumah in our generation is worst; in Egypt the tumah was at the level of 49 gates but in our generation it reached the 50th gate from which there is no return and that person is called “Tameh Leolam” forever contaminated (like nuclear radiation stricken).
15. You must refrain from touching a Nidah and add tumah. But since we have no ashes and were all “Tameh Met” why worry about “Tumat Nidah”? We must not add more Tumah and even if we touch our privates we must wash our hands to remove the extra tumah. Added tumah causes forgetfulness, disease and misfortune since the klippot get hold of the person. Do not belittle any kind of Tumah since it makes life that much more difficult (creates a negative force that tampers with everything a person does causing him to continuously fail and make mistakes). But to comprehend Torah, G-d and His creation, one must be first and foremost decontaminated and pure. A tameh cannot reach G-d, his prayers are not effective. For our prayers to be heard, we have to shake ourselves of our Tumah.
16. Use water to purify yourself by washing hands and going to Mikveh; stay clean at all times (women must wash themselves more often because of Eve and the snake). Cleanliness brings purity, which brings exclusion, which brings the spirit of G-d to the person; by keeping purity of the hands because the soul detects purity and is observing the tips of the fingers to check. The end parts of the body are the conduit to tumah (hand and feet fingers, mouth and reproductive organs).
17. The soul detects the tumah by being on the fingers’ tips; our soul bless others via the hands since the soul energy is transmitted via the hands as it is written for the Kohanim to put their fingers on us and G-d will bless us. Blessings are done via a light from the soul coming out of the fingers. A light from the soul via the fingers can blind a person. Keep the hands and fingers clean to transmit positive energy. A person who keeps his hands clean can always do Teshuvah. A person who belittles hand washing is punished by death. The secret of being wealthy is to wash the hands with a lot of water. Today water is abundant and so the global wealth. As the world spiritual contamination increase so did the availability of water to purify us – indeed “wondrous the ways of G-d”. No more excuses!
18. Resurrection of the death, our wealth, our Olam Habah and our health are dependent on washing our hands, general cleanliness and purity of our body. Clean body and hands can draw the supernal light more easily; and uncleanliness is impediment to the light. The Entire Torah is structured on the notion of Tumah and Taharah; and this is why the parasha’s main focus is on the impurity from a dead corps and the ashes to purify those contaminated
19. Why not any cow? Why must it be red? Kabbalah teaches that we must rectify a sin from its root. Hence Red which is the color of Din or judgment. PaR (ox) is Din, Peh and Resh of PR = 280. All end points (and corners) are Din just like the end points of a man hands, feet and mouth are Din because Tumah latches on via our end points. The 5 ending letters MNZPCh are Din that adds up to 280 or PaR meaning Perud or separation. Word in Hebrew that starts with P and R signify separation, which permits tumah to latch on.
20. Dead person effectively separates himself (from the life force of G-d) reverting to the 4 elements Fire, Water, Air and Dirt. 21. When a person is defiled he can be murderous from the Tumah that can cause corruption, lying, adultery, abuse, malignant speech; just look at the media and the politicians who are infectious. Also causes ill thoughts, conniving, trickery, dishonesty, disloyalty, strife, jealousy, competition, thievery and evil. The media only reports evil; good deeds are of no interest. Look at the politician getting caught in embezzlements, sexual misconduct, accusations and self interest. All because they are not keeping purity
22. By keeping purity we become more ethical and have good manners and good character; we must safeguard our thoughts and our actions. The impure causes separation of G-d too as it is said: He separates himself and also separates G-d casing the YKVK to be separated. The angels hate tumah in humans. Water, Torah, ethics, good speech, good deeds good thoughts and Mikvah purify us. To purify oneself one must begin with Teshuvah and only then immerse in water
23. Impurity affects your believes, faith and confidence, and makes one paranoid about the wife, the kids, the business partners, the stock portfolio, health, the future, the neighbors, the authorities, society and of course the in-laws. Reb Nachman said the fears are the demons that control the person as a result of lack of fear in G-d and lack of faith. People who constantly check their pockets to see if the wallet is still there? Or wake up in the middle of night with sweat are punishments for the acquisition of tumah. People with taharah have no extraneous fears; they have only the fear of G-d! It’s a good idea to check one’s faith regularly and be like the Baal Shem Tov who had no saving and spent all his earnings daily to force himself to depend of G-d every day (he was wagon coach); in today jargon he was a day trader that took no positions overnight! A person who is always fearful must have something to be fearful of. Torah law requires a thief to pays 4 or 5 times; a robber in daylight twice. Purity gives confidence!
24. Moses Not Entering the Land – very sad, we merited to get in but not Moshe! Why? After all his greatness; because he and Aharon did not sanctify Hashem in front of Israel. How does a person do things beneath his stature and dignity? Many of us wonder “what did I do?” “How could I do such a thing?” Very simple: when a person defiles himself by actions or by thoughts. Bad thoughts definitely defile a person! Such as jealousy, adultery, Lashon Harah; halach does not punish for bad thoughts but Kabbalah does from heaven! Kabbalah demands purity of thoughts all the time otherwise the pure soul leaves and the person is left to the dominion of the negative forces and the vices of the body. The soul stays out until he changes his thoughts. Some stop the bad thoughts and reclaim their soul while others continue until they carry out their skims into action. Bad thoughts are worst than actual manifestations because they defile the person. So much more when a person touches tumah – it latches onto him until the day he dies if he does not purify himself (Inu Bakevel Raglo – kevel=kelev) Yossef almost failed with the wife of Potifar because of his thoughts. A dog accompanies the adulterer until his last day before Olam Habah.
25. G-d told Moshe “speak” to the rock to get water; but Moshe hit the rock and none the less got water; but it made G-d angry to the point of saying that Moshe and Aharon did not have faith in G-d! Moshe the faithful shepherd of G-d was accused of lack of faith? Why did G-d asked him to take the staff? Which confused Moshe who thought he might need both to speak and hit the rock. He was not allowed to enter the land for hitting and not speaking to the rock. R. Moshe Ashpizai said that G-d hinted to Moshe that speech is all that is necessary since Bene Israel matured and do not require the stick (violence and brutality stopped). Only speech and dialogue at the table to resolve conflicts (like Moshiach). The United Nations created to resolve conflict by speech, yet violence plagues all nations; the solution is TALK! Today people are arrested for using violence and we have arrived to the final generation that must TALK, makes a living by talk and speak well. To succeed today one must polish his speech to achieve incredible career heights (all in the influence of the tongue). With good and pure speech one can get good education, career, have influence and power.

G-d is educating Moshe that Israel has reached a higher level that does not require the stick, it only requires the power of speech; (and even the rock that you hit last time no longer needs the stick, only the speech (recite a Pereck to the rock). Moshe did not comprehend the new reality and therefore can no longer be the leader.
